The words have changed, but not our goals.

1837 To "provide for the support and education of indigent children. who. are in a suffering and dangerous condition".
1890 To encourage self-dependence, by helping each family (based on) its capabilities and its needs.
1920 To promote sound family life, by helping families and individuals to overcome their difficulties and find opportunities for development.
2006 "To improve the lives of children and promote strong families by partnering with community organizations to provide services to strengthen individuals, families and community life."
  

Much has changed in our community since 1837- Children's Friend and Family Services remains focused on its core mission, unchanged as we enter the third century of service.
