Charitable donations of all sizes have been the foundation of Children’s Friend for over 200 years. They provide the margin of excellence to our work that allows the delivery of leading edge services in the most efficient manner possible. We literally could not accomplish as much, or give to as many, without community investment, whether it is in response to our annual appeals, special events or thoughtful estate planning. A mentor is an adult who volunteers 6 - 8 hours monthly to become a friend, a guide and to provide support to a youth who is “at risk”. As a mentor you’ll receive training and ongoing support from Children’s Friend professional staff. Each volunteer mentor is carefully matched with a youth whose interests are similar.
If you want to give back by contributing your time, energy, passion and intelligence, Children’s Friend has several ways in which you can donate a small number of hours per week or on a project basis.
Your help, in whatever form you deem appropriate, will be put to excellent use for Essex County’s youngsters.
