What is a Volunteer?

A volunteer is a community member, who wishes to "give back" to the community, by contributing their time, energy, passion, intelligence. Volunteers may donate from 2 hours per week, up to a day a week or more. Volunteers are members of the Children's Friend organization- each volunteer is carefully interviewed and trained for their position, and receives the ongoing training and support that they will need. Volunteers share in our mission and our community, and may attend social events, staff trainings, and fundraising events. We have over 100 volunteers at Children's Friend- and they are crucial in helping Children's Friend in its goal of "helping kids to grow up right".
