Kris Latour Kennedy is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Boston University and a Master of Social Work degree from Salem State College. Kris has over sixteen years of experience in working with children and families in protective service, hospital, school, clinic and court settings.
Kris is currently working as a forensic social worker and the Director of the Essex County Juvenile Court Clinic. Kris has received awards for her work in establishing the juvenile court clinics and has been appointed by Assistant Commissioner of the Department of Mental Health to serve on several advisory boards relevant to her court clinic work. She provides Biopsychosocial Assessments for the court, and assists children and families in accessing services. Kris provides trainings statewide in the areas of court clinic practice and accessing services. Kris is committed to increasing access and improving services provided to the children and families of the Commonwealth.
Kris has been with Children’s Friend since 1996.

Children's Friend works with most of the Essex County Juvenile Courts to provide diversion services for first-time offenders.
These referrals must come through the District Attorney's office.
