Mentor Events

On Sunday, June 24th 2007 the Children’s Friend and Family Services Youth Mentoring Program enjoyed their annual “Take a Kid Fishing Trip”, sponsored by the Manchester Harbor Boat Club in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA.

Eight boats motored out into Manchester Harbor for a day of fishing. The competition was fierce, the sun was brilliant and the skippers had just as much fun as our mentors and mentees.

Our “fishing fleet” returned to Tuck’s Point in Manchester after our day on the water. We were treated to a hamburger and hotdog BBQ catered by the Boat Club. Many “fish stories” were exchanged while experiences skipper “Captain Bob” and mentor Nick Helides demonstrated how to scale and filet everyone’s catch.
